![]() ![]() You can find out more about Phantom Liberty here. ![]() The upcoming expansion, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, will also only be available for new-gen consoles and PC, so Xbox One and PS4 owners will be left out. The developer has stated in the recent Night City Wire presentation that the 1.6 update is the last major feature update for last-gen consoles, though minor maintenance updates may follow. Yes, while the all-important cat-picture feature should be present in the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game, the developer is attempting to draw a line under the much-criticised last-gen version. Due to some technical challenges, this change isn’t available on the previous generation of consoles. The notes state:Īdded more secrets in Night City to be discovered by players. Pretty cool, huh? Except – there’s a catch. And if you’ve got an Xbox Series S, there’s a new performance mode.Īlso, while CD Projekt Red hasn’t highlighted every little addition, there are also plenty of new secrets to discover in Night City, the metropolis where the game takes place. On top of that, there are six new firearms and five new melee weapons, cross-progression which lets you transfer saves between platforms, and three new gigs. There’s also content culled from the upcoming Netflix Cyberpunk Edgerunners series, hence the update’s name. Now you can get the stats of your toughest armour but still look like a fashion star. We’ve no idea how or why developer CD Projekt Red omitted this feature – apparently it was busy trying to make the game run on last-gen consoles – but it’s back in the game where it belongs.Īnother neat feature is that you can play an in-game arcade machine, Roach Race. The most critical change is that Cyberpunk 2077 now lets you take pictures of Nibbles, the in-game cat you can adopt. Instead, Update 1.6, also dubbed the Edgerunners Update, adds a wealth of new content to Cyberpunk 2077, enough to give you a reason to get right back into this futuristic action-RPG. No, we’re not talking about squashing bugs though the patch notes, which you can find here, detail several fixes. Cyberpunk 2077’s latest update is here and it includes some important additions to the game. ![]()
